Fall 2016 Newsletter
Greetings Delta Delta Delta of Southern Nevada Alumnae!
If you are receiving this newsletter in paper form, this means that we do not have current contact information for you. We have gone electronic as postage to communicate to over 350 alums is expensive. This includes an eNews via trideltasofsn@gmail.com, Instagram (trideltasofsn), webpage (southernnevada.tridelta.org) which is updated frequently, and our Facebook Page (Delta Delta Delta Southern Nevada Alumnae Chapter). The majority of our membership has joined our eNews. As a result of this increased social media presence, we are able to get out information quickly and meet more often socially. Please send us your email address, follow us on Facebook and Instagram, and check out our new Website, so you join us at events and assist us with cutting costs.

Southern Nevada Alumnae Panhellenic (SNAP)
Delta Delta Delta currently holds the office of Vice President in SNAP. SNAP’s Fourth Shopping for Scholarship Event will be held Saturday November 12 at 11:00 at the Grace Presbyterian Church. The address is 1515 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas 89102. You can visit snapgreek.org for more info. Each Panhellenic group will be donating a basket for their raffle and other vendors will be present. The past two years this event has raised $1000 each time for two scholarships that are given out yearly to local Greeks. Prior to the event, we are meeting as a group at 9:30 am at The Omelet House near Rancho and Charleston. SNAP gives a monetary prize to the chapter with the most members in attendance and we want it to be us! RSVPs can be emailed to trideltasofsn@gmail.com or on the event which is posted on the Facebook Page.
Philanthropy
In addition to the St. Jude Walk/Run, we are expanding what we do for philanthropy for 2016-2017. As a chapter, we will be adopting a child at Christmas through the Junior League of Las Vegas’s Bear Project. More information will be shared at our Fall Meeting on September 13. We are supporting our local Ronald McDonald House by collect the aluminum pop tabs. You can participate and support this easy endeavor by collecting at your workplace or home then bringing a Ziploc or more with of tabs to any of our events to turn in. We also will be partnering with SNAP to volunteer and Three Square on October 1. Events will be added as they arise so check our Website and Facebook Page for up to date information.
Convention 2016
We were fortunate to send a delegate to convention for the first time. Our SNAP Vice President Stephanie Matyszczyk, represented our chapter. A full report is available on the website and the Facebook Page. In summary, the time at convention was a time of sisterhood, legislation as 45 amendments were passed, and change for the future with the unveiling of a new logo, and marketing campaign. More information can be found at tridelta.org.
