Important update from Southern Nevada Tri Delta

Dear Tri Delta Sisters,
The local alumnae board and I wish you well as we enter a new fiscal year with Tri Delta. With that, your new membership dues is now due to Pat Stewart, our treasurer. I will share some recent frustrations with our Executive Office as the other officers and I believe the Executive Office, perhaps unknowingly, works against the local alumnae chapters. Our dues are $50 which includes more than half being sent to the Executive Office.  The remainder funds the operations of our chapter. This includes the purchase of Gold Circle Degree pins, charitable donations on behalf of the chapter to St. Judes and occasional convention expenses every other year for one officer. You may have received a notice from Executive Office asking to pay your “At-Large” dues of $30 directly to Executive Office. Zero funds are sent to support your local alumnae. This request is directed toward Tri Deltas who do not have a local alumnae chapter in their area. The solicitation does not specify that clearly enough and it hurts any local chapter when the member unknowingly answers the call for dues directly to the Executive Office. Please support your local alumnae by paying your dues to your local chapter.
Thank you to those of you who have paid your dues to us, we truly appreciate your support. The news dues statement is below.
Over the years membership is declining. It is a trend nationwide among many organizations and our little Souther Nevada Tri Delta is no different. Our membership and attendance has dwindled to a small few. The 5 officers that serve your chapter have held this chapter together with very little support. We are concerned for the future of this chapter when the time comes for our terms to end this June. Should we decide not to rerun for nomination? What will happen? This chapter will close and that is very sad but it is a reality.  Please consider becoming involved, attend a few events and if you care to take it a step further and help with a leadership role, we would welcome you.
Coming up, we have Founder’s Day and our Annual Tri Delta Ornament Exchange. Both of these annual events are meaningful and special and I hope your will consider joining us this year.  Flyers are attached with RSVP and location information. We do need to monitor reservations so please RSVP in a timely manner.
If you are are planning to attend Founder’s Day and are participating in the Gold Circle Degree, please reply to this email. The chapter provides your pin. If you plan to attend and would like to undergo the Pearl or Silver ceremony, we will perform the reading. You may purchase your pin or necklace at Herff Jones. Thank you, we appreciate your taking the time and ability to participate in any way you can.
